VMS are delighted to announce the arrival of Gemma Shamah as Venues Operations Manager (South).
Speaking on the appointment of Gemma, Steve Forster, Managing Director, stated, “I am delighted to have been able to secure the services of Gemma. I have worked with Gemma off and on since 2007 when I first appointed her to a bars position at The Forum in Kentish Town. Most recently I worked with her at Ramblin’ Man festival in Kent in late June (where she was working as the Event General Manager) and VMS were brought in as Festival Directors. When it became clear that Gemma may be looking for a new challenge I was quick to offer her the opportunity to work with VMS as part of our expanded team and I am delighted she has accepted“.
Forster further commented, “There are quite a few changes taking place at VMS currently in the light of some recent staff departures as well as our expanding estate. As part of her role, Gemma will oversee the operation of our London Venue ULU, as well as our new Venue in Exeter (The Lemon Grove) and UEA in Norwich. Forster further commented ‘its an incredibly busy time for us at the moment and with further new ventures about to be announced – good staff are essential part of a successful operation and we are delighted to have Gemma on board as part of the VMS Team“.
