EVENT BOOKING & DELIVERY

Promoting over 600 events per year in our own right and on behalf of our clients, we can help you gain access to the talent you want at a fair and competitive price. From festival headliners to new and emerging talent our bookers and promoters have contacts at all levels of the industry. We don’t’ just deliver ‘Live’ acts we also regularly book some of the best DJ and experiential talent. Many people believe that booking an act is the end of the matter, while we firmly believe that the booking is very much only the first step. Promoting and Marketing of artists is our opinion by far the most important aspect of a commercially successful event. Carl and his team will help you book, promote and market your events, using our collective bargaining power as well as our company resources to ensure you don’t just book an artist, but that you have the best chance of delivering a profitable and successful event. In our own right we run the ‘Inner City Live’ and ‘Gigantic’ festival brands, as well as one off events such as ‘Sounds of the Summer’.

TICKETING SOLUTIONS

The way that customers buy tickets and the resultant use of data from these purchases is ever evolving.Knowing your customers and how to reach them is key to a successful venue/event. There is no ‘one’ ticketing solution that suits all venues and all events. With this is mind VMS do not recommend one solution/partner and very much ascribe to the belief that ticketing is bespoke to each event/client and the solution is often different even with clients! Having successfully delivered 6 figures deals for both AMG and MAMA as well as MAV, we have director level contacts with all of the UK’s major ticketing/technology companies. On your behalf we will deliver a single event solution through to a multi venue multi year agreement. Ticketing should never be a cost and potentially it is a significant income and marketing tool at your disposal. We guarantee to match your requirements to the correct ticketing partner for maximum commercial benefit.

SPONSORSHIP & COMMERCIAL NEGOTIATION

An often overlooked area , but potentially significant one in terms of both income and event/venue viability. Having being involved in the negotiation and delivery of major name in title sponsorship deals (O2, Carling, Relentless) or smaller scale branded support (Smirnoff, Bacardi, Jack Daniels, Britvic, etc), we will help to deliver the best commercial deals for your event/product. Unlike other ‘agencies’ we arrange the deal directly for you and only commission on your top line income from any commercial arrangement, leaving more in the pot for you!

CLUB & BRAND PARTNERSHIPS

Equally at home in the live and club sphere we have direct contacts with brand owners/managers with some of the UK’s largest club brands (Propaganda, MADE, etc) as well as access to some of the UK’s brightest DJ talent. This teams that whether you are looking for a one off DJ booking or a regular partnership with a ‘Branded Event’ we can assist in negotiating/delivering these for your . We can also advise on delivering your own ‘club brands/events’, from conceptualisation, through artist booking and on the night branding and delivery. Outside of our own venues we also have direct contacts with some of the UK’s premier clubs and can deliver a branded one off event into these locations for you. EVENT PRODUCTION & DELIVERY

With over 20 partner venues and over 30 ‘outdoor’ events every year, we have the experience of working in small bars to major festival sites for over 30,000 people. Each location presents its own unique set of problems, as well as its own specific solutions. Though we have our own ‘Production Department’ headed up by Richard and Joe Roberts, we work with the best independent contractors in the business to ensure that we don’t just consider production options that we can deliver in house. We always consider what the best option is for the venue/event, furthermore, we use our relationships and buying power to pass on those efficiencies to the client. From a small ‘bar gig’ to a full ‘Festival’ our team can assist in all aspects of planning and delivery. Offered alongside our ‘Event Booking and Delivery’ option or as an after booking add one, our team will guide you through the entire process of delivering your event (including new regulations with regard to CDM and Noise among others), advising on budgets to ensure nothing gets missed.

HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Very much connected to venue and event delivery, H&S is a key component in delivering success – not an add on afterwards. With an excellent track record and delivery and implementation of H&S policy in both venues and Green Field sites. Our senior management team are qualified to offer advice on examples of best practice. We also have arrangements in place with some of the best external practitioners/consultants who we can call on at preferential rates where we need to call on specialists to consult on key legislation. Whether it is a full H&S review of your operation or an FRA for your venue/event we will help you through the minefield of legislation to deliver cost effective safe solutions.

LICENSING

Having a ‘fit for purpose’ premises licence is one of the most important aspects of running a successful venue/event. Unnecessary and restrictive conditions often hinder venues/events from operating in an efficient and effective manner. Our Senior management team can advise you on all aspects of licensing including, new applications and revisions, where necessary making these applications on your behalf. We also have contacts with the Uk’s best licensing professionals and can call upon their advice or if necessary to act on your behalf under a very strict brief. We can also liaise with the regulatory authorities to ensure that your ‘operating plans and procedures’ are following examples of best practice. Recent clients include major locations such as the Bullring in Birmingham, through to one off TEN applications. We treat each client irrespective of size with the same care and attention. Once again bespoke solutions for bespoke problems.

VENUE DEVELOPMENT & REFURBISHMENT

Having opened and developed many of the UK’s new live music venues (All of the Academy Music Group new Venues – MAMA Venues – Edinburgh Picture House, Birmingham Institute, independents such Birmingham Ballroom, Brixton Electric among others), our team can provide everything from design and build solutions through to simple cost efficient refurbishments. Using our well established contractors and partners we can guarantee you best value and a project delivered on schedule and on budget. If you are considering refurbishing your venue, let us assist in the process. We have never opened a venue a day after its scheduled date of opening and we have never overspent on budget.
